Billions in gambling revenue are currently flowing to offshore casinos frequented by New Yorkers, which the state is aware of. Senate Bill S2614 and Assembly Bill A05922 have been reintroduced by lawmakers to permit existing commercial and tribal casinos to launch regulated online poker rooms and casino applications. While the state is in full favor of land-based casinos and mobile sports betting, it has yet to permit real money online casino games or poker through local operators. (more…)
